New Years Day

Last November we threw Grandma a "Casino" themed birthday party and got a bingo game to play... Grandma likes bingo. Grandpa wanted to play Casino again for his birthday in December, but with his birthday being so close to Christmas we kind of got too rushed so he said we had to play Casino on New Years Day instead. So that's what we did. Grandma let me put up Casino decorations in her dinning room and kitchen again (over her Christmas decor because she wasn't ready to take it down yet.)

First we played Bingo... Auntie Vi, Alice, Grandma, and Grandpa's favorite. I think they got hooked playing this summer up in Prescott. Last time, the cheap cards and plastic markers that came with the game didn't satisfy their bingo urges so this time we had to buy the "real" cards and Violet and Alice brought their dobbers. It was 25 cents per each card you played and the winner took the pot. Grandpa called out the numbers and being the good sport he is, even wore the green dealer visor. He also put with with a lot of trash talk from every one for calling all the wrong numbers!!

After bingo we played In Between, were I lost even more money. In Between is a fast and fun betting game where each player is dealt two cards, then makes a bet that the third card thrown to them will be in between the first two. Your bet is against the pot and if you win you get the amount you bet but if you loose your money goes in to the pot for the next player to bet against.

Later we played the LCR dice game. This game is actually invented to teach kids their Left and Right, but we play it to for money. It's actually a lot fun. There are 3 dice, and each player starts out with 3 dimes, or quarters, or dollars... whatever you want to play with. Each player takes a turn rolling the dice and then passes their money as the dice shows. L - left, R- right, C - center and a black dot means you get to keep it. Last player standing with money wins it all.
